The Cottage at Seppeltsfield: Terms and Conditions

Your agreement is with The Cottage at Seppeltsfield, the Owner of The Cottage at Seppeltsfield (The Cottage). References to “you” or “your” are references to the person making the booking (Responsible Person) and all members of the holiday group staying at The Cottage at Seppeltsfield.

These terms and conditions form the basis of your agreement with us so please read them carefully.

Guest numbers are a maximum of four (4) guests. Any additional guests and the use of the property for an EVENT or GATHERING must be authorised by us in writing. The Cottage is a quiet place, perfect to relax and enjoy, so please no loud noise or other behaviour likely to impact our neighbours.

If you exceed the maximum numbers of persons staying at The Cottage without our authorisation, we reserve the right to terminate or cancel your booking with immediate effect, and no refunds will be given. The Owners reserve the right to enter/inspect the premises during your stay without notice if there is belief that there has been a breach of these Terms & Conditions. Police will be called should guests not adhere to and continue to disregard the outlined Policy.

Pricing includes exclusive use of The Cottage at Seppeltsfield for the duration of your stay. Minimum stay is 2 nights unless advised otherwise. Please be advised that by paying the deposit for your accommodation you are accepting the Terms and Conditions.

Your credit card details will be held by us up to 14 days after the end of your stay and you agree that we can use your credit card details to cover and be applied against any damages, breakages, replacements or additional cleaning in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

By paying for the booking you agree that you are over the age of eighteen (18) and that you accept full responsibility for all payments due and ensuring all guests and visitors to the property during the booking period abide by the Terms and Conditions.

Reservations: Reservations require a 50% deposit in order to confirm the booking with full payment required fourteen (14) days in advance of the booking. If you fail to make this payment in full and on time, we will treat the booking as being cancelled by you.

Booking amendment or cancellation: Bookings cancelled with more than thirty (30) days’ notice will receive a full refund of their booking. Bookings cancelled less than thirty (30) days but more than fourteen (14) days prior will be subject to the forfeit of the deposit payment as a cancellation charge. Cancellations with less than fourteen (14) days are non-refundable.

Bookings may be rescheduled at the discretion of The Cottage at Seppeltsfield and subject to availability, and on one occasion only.

Check-in and check-out: Check in is at or after 3:00pm on the day of arrival unless arranged by prior notice, in writing. Check-out is 11:00am on the day of departure, unless prior arrangement has been made, in writing, with us. For unscheduled late departures, a fee of $100 per hour may be charged to the credit card on file.

Departure: We ask that you leave The Cottage clean, tidy, and garbage taken out. Please wipe the BBQ with cleaning wipes provided. Please leave the property as you found it. Should you leave The Cottage in a state that requires additional cleaning, this cost will be charged to the credit card on file. We also ask that you secure the property ensuring you turn off the air conditioner before leaving.

Condition of property: You agree to keep and leave The Cottage and the fixtures, furnishings, kitchen and other equipment, crockery, glasses, bedding etc. in the same condition and repair as upon arrival. You also agree to ensure all electrical equipment and white goods are left clean and in good condition. Any damages, breakages or additional cleaning required will be on-charged to the Responsible Person. You are to advise us immediately of any repairs, damages or breakages that may have arisen or where repairs need to be made as soon as possible.

You agree to allow us or any representative of ours access at any reasonable time during you stay for the purpose of essential repairs

Effluent System: The Cottage runs on a septic system. Flushing of anything other than toilet paper and bodily waste is prohibited. If a plumber is required at the property and the fault is due to guests or visitors disregarding this then the full cost of the repair will be charged to credit card on file.

Personal property: You agree to take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property. We are not liable for any personal property left at The Cottage. If we locate any personal belongings left after departure they may be returned to you via post/mail at your own expense. Any unclaimed lost property will be disposed of thirty (30) days after departure.

Smoking: The Cottage and grounds are strictly non-smoking.

Pets: We are sorry, but we are unable to accommodate pets.
